About PhonePrices.sg & Our Methodology

PhonePrices.sg is an independent price comparison for people in Singapore who want to sell, trade in or buy a phone. As of 22 Oct 2026, 8:04 AM SGT it tracks 6,899 buyback prices and 2,339 new-phone prices for 513 models from 11 sources.

Where the data comes from

Only prices that shops and official stores publish openly on their own websites: Litemobile, OnePhone (1p.sg), UWin / SellMyPhone, UWin Telecom Tampines (tradeinphonesg), Red White Mobile, Gadget Affair, Mister Mobile, 8th Ave Mobile, myhalo, Apple Store SG (official), Samsung Store SG (official). We do not accept payment to change rankings; shops are ranked purely by listed price.

Featured shops are partners; rankings are always by price. Currently featured: Red White Mobile. A featured shop gets a labelled card or banner and a “Featured” badge on its row. It is never moved up the ranking, never marked “best price” unless its listed price really is the highest (or lowest, for buying new), and its prices are collected and shown exactly like every other shop's. Links to featured shops are marked as sponsored.

How we collect and check prices

  1. Every day an automated collector reads each source's public price list (web page tables, the shop's own published price sheet or product listings).
  2. Each listing is matched to a model and storage size (e.g. “iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB”). Colour variants are merged and the highest buyback / lowest retail price is shown, with the colour named.
  3. Entries without a number (“WhatsApp us”, “Pending”, “Coming soon”), placeholders and unreadable rows are dropped. Prices are never estimated.
  4. Cash vs trade-in: if a shop states there is no difference, the same price is shown for both. If it states a flat rule such as “$20 deducted for non trade-in”, the cash price is worked out from that rule and labelled. If it says nothing, the price is flagged.
  5. Spot checks compare collected values with what each shop's page shows.

What the prices mean

“Up to” prices. Buyback figures are the highest each shop lists for a device in top condition (used) or sealed / non-activated (new). Shops deduct for battery health, scratches or dents, screen marks, missing box or accessories, activation, colour, warranty and export sets. The final offer is made after inspection in store.

Before you sell

Confirm the price with the shop (many lock prices only after you book), bring your NRIC, back up and sign out of iCloud / Google / Samsung accounts, and bring the box and accessories. Shops screen devices against police records of lost and stolen property.
